The Transition in Pervian Views
Although traditionally a more feminist culture focusing on the family and the group, market globalization and cross culture awareness have pushed the Peruvian and other South American cultures towards an increasingly more masculine one. Competition is becoming more stark and there is a greater feel of dog eat dog attitude.
Even in the personal life, changes can be seen. Traditionally, children continue to live with their parents even after marriage. Now, more and more young people are branching off into their own residences away from their parents, and even living with their significant others before marriage, a change that much of the older generation does not look kindly upon.
