Traditionally, Peruvians have a more collectivist nature, focusing and emphasizing the success of the entire group as opposed to the individual.
As borders have become more fluid and there is more and more interaction with western philosophies, the Peruvian culture is gravitating towards one centered more on the individual. To succeed in the current dog eat dog world, the individual is beginning to look out for his own success and his own future more than ever before.
