The Short Story

Jennifer Egan, born in Chicago, is the author of a series of fiction novels winning various awards. 

 

Invisible Circus was later adapted into a film in 2001, starring Cameron Diaz.

 

Her novel A Visit From the Goon Squad won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize and is a story written with overlapping perspectives that represent a series of short stories fitting together to create a larger novel storyline.
